The Blind Soul's Imagination
(Julia Massey)
the blind soul's imagination
must be in a wonderful, wonderful sphere
untainted by assumptions
from a world that isn't there
and isn't here
for all those flowing rivers of thought
dedicated to what we all see
the blind soul's brainy chemistry
is in an everlasting reverie
to close your eyes in conscious thought is
only reserved for meditation-
so can you picture living there,
in a world of your mind's own creation?
the beauty to be felt from skin or silence
or fresh snow on the tongue
is far beyond the cat's pajamas
especially when you hear it
meow or yawn
i've often fell into agreement
over sacrificing my sight
last
but in consideration of all the other senses, i think they all surpass
cause to close your eyes in conscious thought is
only reserved for meditation-
so can you picture living there,
in a world of your mind's own creation?
the blind soul's imagination
must be in a wonderful, wonderful sphere
untainted by assumptions
from a world that isn't there
and isn't here
for all those flowing rivers of thought
dedicated to what we all see
the blind soul's brainy chemistry
is in an everlasting reverie
